God's Love.
We, or the greatest work of love ever created.
Conscious, free and unique.
Blessings and good health from God to you, dear reader. You have come across these lines, perhaps unintentionally or guided by an inner voice. We all have guides who respond to our deepest spiritual longings and shed light on the brief moments of silence in the soul as it struggles with doubts and worries. They help us, in the name of God's love, to leave behind the night of the soul in which we all live, until we understand that we are the fruit of love, a love without limits, that is patient and wise and has only one desire: our complete happiness.
This happiness demands only one thing: that we open ourselves to the love that comes from God. Without realizing it, we live in attachment to fears that have spread like a poison in our being, and we worship them, pay tribute, lose sleep and all faith. It is time to abandon these toxic paradigms and say no to fear in order to say yes to the love that will define us like a new dawn. This dawn is the final act of the work of love that God set in motion when he created us. We need to open our eyes and recognize the love that surrounds us and that we can resonate within ourselves, spreading it throughout our lives and infecting others with its warmth and light. And to open ourselves to his love, there is nothing better than to understand what He has done and is doing for us. Approaching God is a journey of love, an endless exploration of light and compassion. At the same time, this exploration leads us to the deepest answers to the question of who we are.
Fruits of love.
First of all, I would like to clarify in two sentences something that is important for this reading: God is spirit and a spirit can only create spirits or ideas. God thinks and by thinking he creates. What does that mean? We are spiritual creatures; we are His thoughts or spirits of His Spirit. But what is matter, if only spirit can come from God, as spirit, so everything that exists is spirit? Matter is spirit (ideas) that is educated by divine will in judgment, i.e. bound or, as it were confined for the progressive liberation and guidance of the created spirit or spirits (we) to the light of free life in the pure spirit. We call this process the purification of the soul. Matter is therefore a specific (educational) stage of the spirit (soul) on the way to returning to the love of God, which each of us is meant to discover within ourselves. All of this is an unimaginable act of love that we are trying to comprehend here.
Our life is a threefold work of love of the divine spirit that created us, a perfect work of love in three acts:
- Creation (God).
- Redemption (Christ).
- Spiritual Rebirth (Heaven).
God is love and love is the life force of the universe. We were created with love, saved by love, and in love we will be spiritually reborn, if not here in this life, then in the next. You can take that literally. You live in a work of love that unfolds like s stream in your life, and your life does not end when the perishable shell that is your body has fulfilled its function of pressuring your soul to seek the eternal light of the spirit. God will not rest until his work of love, the true gospel proclaimed by Christ, has redeemed every soul in the universe. From what? From the death of matter. We have said that matter is a state of confinement (judgement) of the spirit (soul) for educational or liberating purposes; a test for the soul, which must seek the door out of its material prison. But the soul is free in its will, and in its freedom it can choose to remain in the prison, to give itself to it with all its love and remain imprisoned. This is the cult of the body and the sensual world. Fortunately, God ensures that even the most benighted souls ultimately seek their freedom in the spirit.
I hope you feel that these are more than just nice words; that you feel that they contain a promise made by the One who keeps His word and does not change His mind because the wind blows from a different direction. The world will end, the suns of the universe will burn out, but the Word of God is eternal. It is not me, but Christ who said this when he was here on earth speaking to his followers about the immortality of the soul and the great things that await us. It is all part of a perfectly planned, staged and executed work of the divine mind.
We have been the main actors in this show from the very beginning, its unique beneficiaries. There is no greater confusion in our lives, however, than the misconceptions we carry about who exactly we are. Yet anyone who does not simply and comfortably conform to what other men and women have handed down as our essence and life's purpose need only reflect and feel a little to silence all the ideas that are stuck like pesky tacks in his or her soul. So with a little seriousness and patience through introspection, you can find some certainties, such as awareness, love and the will to live in your heart. This will to live and love, if it is not foolishly attached to this material world but to one's own spirit, will make him discover that the meaning of life and happiness lies in using one's talents to be a better person, a living center of harmony and strength that he can pass on to his fellow human beings. He who receives light should use it to illuminate the path for others.
And in doing so, in singing the praises of life with every step he takes, he expresses the plan of the One who created him, God. It is clear that God did not give us life for a short existence of 80 years. That would be the work of a capricious and cruel being. God gave us life to discover the piece of eternity that He placed in us. And this piece of eternity makes us what we are: spiritual beings, because nothing material can aspire to eternity, indeed, cannot even imagine it. We see light, because we are light. We are eternal in spirit, created by an eternal being. But nothing good is given to us and appreciated without our having painfully felt its lack and absence before. Life is loved when one has tasted death; light is only appreciated in darkness. That is why we are here, seeking life and light, threatened by darkness and death, which deceptively suggests that it has the power to eliminate and extinguish what we are. There is no more absurd idea! What is, can never cease to be in a universe of love. This is where we thrive.
But the soul can feel death if it does not rise to spirit and allows itself to be hijacked by matter, which is subject to constant change, and what always changes, is not. That would be to turn our eyes away from the work of love, which is the focus of our meditation here. We must direct our love with all our strength towards life. But we should not love this perishable life, but that which arises from the divine spirit that we carry as light in our souls.
We are conscious, free and individual beings; each of us is unique, which in itself is a miracle that can only be explained by the act of love of a perfect Creator, God. This perfect God, moved by His love, has put everything of Himself into the seed beings that we are; beings destined to realize in our own life experience what abundance and perfection are, an endless stream of life. For something like this to be possible, we had to be created free, conscious and unique. Because each soul is its own path to God and His special joy.
Free, conscious and unique.
These three fundamental characteristics of our being reflect the most wonderful act of divine creation that ever existed. Humanity, scattered across the infinite worlds of the universe, is the seed of God's love. Although we are not alone in the universe, we are special on Earth because here the night is darker and life is more painful than on other worlds. But here we enjoy a freedom of thought and action that makes us independent masters of our steps towards the light that God shows us when we want to see him. And if we choose to look away from him and surrender our love to the world of matter and the senses, we are also masters of our fall and our own painful death.
But if I become aware of the work of God's love, which is my own life, denying God becomes the greatest sin, because it means closing my eyes to the truth in order to satisfy myself with a lie, because it is an easier and more immediate pleasure.
This life is undoubtedly frightening, but in the Art of war, the enemy is the measure of our own courage. We are not here because we chose the easy way, the tourist route for beginners, but the steep path, with slopes, precipices and landslides that can cause us to fall and crush us. But it is also the route that promises the best views for the victorious pilgrims, those who have shown will, determination and patience to the end. And those who have been able to entrust themselves to God's protection and will while lending a hand to the weakest on the way to the summit. Because in the work of love that we live every day, the end is infinitely better than the beginning. All that is required of us is right belief and loving action.
But let us walk slowly and yet full of wonder; let us wake up every morning consciously amazed and grateful that we are what we are, namely not the fruit of a blind evolutionary process, a selection of physical survival skills. Our life is much greater and more comprehensive. Let us go beyond the skin, the flesh and the bones of our being, because we are not intelligent apes, but spirits incarnated on earth to discover our divine and immortal essence under a material and ephemeral shell that means little. By immortal, we mean that our individuality is preserved beyond death, down to the smallest expression. We do not disappear (with the sad consolation of remaining in the memory of others), nor are we absorbed by a cosmic matrix, just as the sea absorbs a drop of water from rain. Our destiny is better and more logical. And this logic is based on what we are.
Let's repeat it:
We are:
- conscious of ourselves
- free in our actions
- unique and indestructible individuals.
We are not made to be thrown away after 80 or 90 years, which hardly leaves time to correct the mistakes we have made in life. Let us think about this again: what force or creative spirit would be able to imagine and create something so perfect, just to make it disappear from the face of the earth in the blink of an eye? Not the God in whom I believe. To follow the logic of immortality, it is enough to say that everything comes from God, who in his eternal presence is all that exists. If God is eternal and we are from Him or have come from Him, then if it were possible for God to destroy us, He would destroy a part of Himself, which contradicts His immortal and eternal divinity, and God would cease to be God. Our essence and His essence are the same, we just don't know it yet. But why didn't God implant in us the full consciousness of our divine nature, as a program that leaves no room for doubt? Because then we would be automatons, machines. Here, where we are affected by pain and death, we must use our consciousness and freedom to discover that we were created for something more and that we are the fruit of a work of love that we cannot yet fully imagine.
So let's start from the fact that God is a perfect Being and that He, in His fullness and perfection, had no need to create rebellious and misguided beings like us... or did He? Isn't this what Fatherly Love is?
Let's assume for a moment that everything is contained and foreseen in God in a way that is incomprehensible to us, since, as we say, God is perfect and complete. Nothing can be added to God or taken from him, otherwise he would not be God, i.e. everything. And in this everything we would be beings that God contained and contains, but at the same time, by creating us free and conscious of our own being, he had to place us outside of his being so that we are independent individuals and not blissful robots programmed by his grace and light, so to speak. Do you now understand why you and I must search of our own free will and accord for what we really are, even though everything here is against us, where there is nothing but passing matter? In this enormous difficulty of recognizing the light and eternal life of the spirit, behind the wall of matter that does not escape death, lies the process and spiritual gain for the soul of the one who reaches the summit on the path of a thousand and one dangers (lies of the world) and ignoring everything that would distract him from his goal, which is the perspective one has when one has left the darkness of matter behind, because thanks to the word of God in the gospels that speak of eternal life, one sees true life in firm belief in it. Thus, true faith is transformed into a vision of the life of the spirit through and beyond the transitory matter (our body). But this matter nevertheless represents an enormous barrier for the soul. Therefore, we need light through the word of God.
In this material life, it is almost impossible to understand what we are, what we are called for in the next life, and it is even more difficult to get an idea of what an act of love it was that God, who does everything without effort and without resistance, simply because He is love, created us as we are, simply perfect. Perfect, really?
Yes, doesn't the Genesis (Bible OT) say that God created man in his image and likeness? The rest of the Bible tells us how much we have resisted accepting and receiving this infinite gift from our Heavenly Father; how we have repeatedly turned away from him (see the Old Testament). But in our stubbornness also lies our strength of will, and this strength of will also means love. It's just that we do with it in our freedom what we want, even if it costs us our life. An example of a free love that kills is the vice of smoking.
But in his infinite love, God also gives us countless opportunities and takes care of every soul whose false (self-)love has plunged it into a dark pit. God, as our Father, knows better than anyone how precious we are, because He created us out of His Love! Now we just have to recognize that fact and not waste our lives on matter, not fall in love with our own death. Oh yes, it is possible! Just look at the suicide rates today, or how easily many people accept without much resistance that death will finish them completely. The trend is undeniable. But if you wish, you will receive help from God. Ask and it shall be given to you. We have a life ahead of us, beyond this temporal existence in the flesh; a life on a par with what we are: divine beings, created out of the love of God. This love is an all-encompassing care and provision for our souls, for our life. This provision also includes a heavenly home.
That is the third act of divine love for us. In the truest sense of the word, God has prepared a home of infinite happiness for us in His heaven(s); perfect spaces of learning and development, tailor-made for each soul and their own spirituality, with guides of light, armed with infinite patience and kindness, so that we can overcome our misconceptions about ourselves being so blind and so deaf. No doubt we need all the infinite compassion of the Creator to successfully germinate in our truth.
Love and will.
Now we want to keep on looking inward here to better grasp our true nature. That was our good intention from the first thought in this writing. Since we are the fruit of love from the Spirit of God, we fully understand that love belongs to the essence of our soul, like a fluid or life force that animates us. Love is a spiritual force that cannot be produced by matter, such as genes or hormones; love is not chemistry, but pure spiritual energy. Pure spiritual energy is an emanation of the divine spirit, its will, which manifests itself in us as a force in the heart that we call love. To make this possible, God, as an expression of His infinite love for us, placed a spark of His spirit in our soul before we were born in the flesh, a spark of God.
And it is this love that makes us godlike!
This love is joined by another force of the soul, namely the will, and this will, together with love, is the fundamental engine that moves us and keeps us alive. Imagine a person, a friend or relative of yours, who has no love and no will. What is left for him or her? Nothing, except to slowly die. This state without will and without love is what we call depression today. It is a separation of the soul from the divine spark within it, which leads to malnutrition of the soul, to progressive debilitation, because it does not receive its basic nourishment, which is the love of its own spiritual center or divine being. This happens when the soul completely submits its love to matter, to the ideas that deny the reality of the spirit within us.
But God, in his love, has endowed us with a sufficient dose of this strength, and he who squanders it has no one to blame but himself, unless it is a case of obvious mistreatment and cruel oppression by another. Life here is very hard for most people, but we have already said that and it is a fact, even if it is hard to take, that we accepted that before we incarnated on Earth. But God watches over us all, even if we deny His existence. No one is abandoned in this work of love. But only those who ask receive active help. To him who asks, it will be given. God is merciful to all, but He only takes by the hand those who seek Him within themselves, who therefore strive for the spiritual.
God's mercy.
Conscious, free and unique. Let us reflect again on our freedom. It turns out that it is not easy to be us, and that is because of this freedom. God knew that freedom was not only necessary because it was the only way to guarantee our voluntary union of love with him, but that it would also take us farthest away from His love. That's the thing about freedom, that it needs light to see the way to truth. To regulate that freedom, God can only put us in certain circumstances, which are often painful and frustrating for us, but which serve to curb the soul's false impulses of love, loves that kill the soul, as we have said before.
Long have we wandered in darkness; many lifetimes have been spent misrepresenting and then outright denying the truth of our divine childhood; many efforts have been made to deny God Himself. Infinite patience has been expended by Heaven to enlighten us, with constant revelations that have been an effective but subtle barrier against the flood of lies that threatened to submerge the little faith and love that remained in the hearts of men. God is the only effective remedy against our degeneration into animals governed by impulses.
But now, in addition to the act of love that was our creation eons ago, and to the presence of God in Christ on earth, there is the fulfillment, which will be the rebirth of our souls in the spirit, that is, the full recognition of spiritual life as the only true life, that life which, because it is invisible to the eye, we dismiss as fantasy or, in our ignorance, misrepresent. Those who have doubts and seriously ask themselves about the meaning of their life here should think of God as creative love and Giver of eternal life; they should think of freedom, which is sacred to them, and of love, for which they long with sadness.
Considering myself and others as the most valuable (spiritual) creations in the universe; casting off the shell of darkness that matter forms around my heart and feeling the indestructible power of my soul, which is flooded by the light of the divine is the daily mantra and source of energy that not only makes this life bearable without the need to accumulate unnecessary goods, but also makes it the antechamber of true life, free from fatigue, pain and sorrow. Every step we take here on earth in the direction of the spirit saves us a thousand steps in the next life. I the great difficulty lies the price; in the faith and love for God that we are able to cultivate lie the treasures of the soul, which we take with us as imperishable goods into the other, the true life, because the short life we spend in matter is greatly overestimated, as is the happiness it is supposed to give us. The greatness we should aspire to is not that of this world. In the spiritual world, the one before and after this material life, infinitely greater things await us. We are spirits in matter, not matter that speaks and thinks!
We came into this world to correct our love by recognizing the love of God as the source that gives us life; we came to be small and thus accept the greatness of God that we carry in our souls. The death we fear so much is a game we play to prove that love transcends matter as an indestructible force that we are made of. Technically, even our body does not die, it only transforms. It is not this life (form) that we must keep.
Christ told us: “Whoever diligently administers the small (this short life on earth, humbly living it in the Spirit), to him I will entrust the great in my kingdom.” The threefold act of divine love for us is complete in each person's heart when he understands that God created us free, conscious, and unique, that Christ came to redeem us from our death, and that heaven is our eternal home of creative progression and endless bliss. You cannot ask for more than that from a Father. Amen.
