Offense and lies.
Offense and lies. I am offended when I see you and I don't like you, when you are different from me, because that offense stems from my feeling of superiority, of being better, more correct than you. But that feeling of being better or superior is a lie, and therefore, in order to defend that lie and not see it as such, but as the truth, I use the mechanism of offense to put up a wall between you and me. That wall must protect me from you as a possible threat that questions my false sense of superiority. My offense is a ridiculous gesture that separates us and turns us against each other; it is a pathetic response to your way of being and a sad impediment to my own evolution as a human being. That offense cancels out my compassion and my ability to communicate with you. Don't be like me and don't take offense, as I do, when you see me as different from you. God bless you, brother.
